Cookie Diet! Print E-mail

Before raising any hope, let me clarify what I will say, in the expense of stealing my own thunder. Can someone lose weight by mainly eating cookies? Yes… Is this article about to promote it? Absolutely not!

People’s willingness to lose weight without putting the necessary effort helps fad diets popping up like mushrooms. People keep on trying to win the big prize in the lottery of finding the easiest diet that works, the big prize being the weight loss. And some do. But the rest of the story is mostly not as glorifying. 1 in 3 Lottery Winners Broke Within 5 Years. It is no different in the game of weight loss. I say, in weight management what’s more important than the weight itself is the trend.  If you can’t manage your weight when you have extra pounds, the chances are you won’t be able to manage it when you lose them.

Here is a part from Robin Willam’s HBO Show. I kinda like his idea!

There are too many types of diets circulating around that sound too good to be true. And I think it is correct to assume that if it is too good to be true, it probably is.

With all the supplements sold like candy  bars even in convienent stores, it is really hard to under estimate the importance of vitamins. The essence of vitamins for our health is just too obvious even to mention (but I will mention it anyways). But does this mean that the more is merrier? Absolutely not. Vitamins, especially fat soluble ones (A, D, E and K) are stored in liver and excessive amounts are toxic!. The chart below pretty much says it all.

If you are shopping for vitamin supplements, here are a few things to keep in perspective.

·         Vitamin deficiency is NOT common in West.

·         Small amounts of fat soluble vitamins are required to keep good health. And this can be achieved with a good diet.

·         Excessive (I would say mega-doses) of fat soluble vitamins are toxic. And just to clarify, toxic is bad for your health.
